His remark also came after Greek Foreign Minister suggested that Greece's S-300 systems on Crete could potentially be transferred to Ukraine.
The seriousness of the matter is such that Russian officials also referenced the Cypriot Missile Crisis of the late 1990s in their warnings to Greece.
