The airlift and maritime shipments play a vital role in maintaining the IDF’s operational continuity.
The Israel Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that the 800th aircraft in its ongoing wartime military airlift has landed in the country, marking a major milestone in a large-scale logistics operation launched immediately after the outbreak of war.
Coordinated by the Defense Procurement Directorate, the multi-agency effort includes the IDF Planning and Force Build-Up Directorate, the Israel Air Force, the MOD’s Mission to the U.S., and the International Defense Transportation Unit.
To date, the operation has delivered more than 90,000 tons of military equipment through 800 flights and roughly 140 maritime shipments. The shipments have included munitions, armored vehicles, protective gear, and medical supplies.
Defense officials say the airlift and maritime shipments play a vital role in maintaining the IDF’s operational continuity, meeting the military’s evolving battlefield needs, and supporting overall force readiness.
Alongside this effort, the Ministry of Defense is also working to expand domestic weapons production to further strengthen long-term supply resilience.
