The official for international affairs at the Iranian Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Hamza Kalandari, revealed that Iran is strengthening the air defense of the regime forces in Syria, in various ways, to enable it to deal with threats.
Brigadier General Kalandari said in an interview with the Fars news agency: "The Syrian regime possesses anti-missile and air defense capabilities, but we are witnessing a wide range of threats against it... We have openly stated that we seek to strengthen the Syrian air defense systems in various ways."
He explained that "this cooperation and support can be in the form of updating certain equipment, as well as changes in the existing equipment and weapons" of the regime in Syria.
Brigadier General Kalandari said that "the era of hit and run is over." If the Zionists act, they must wait for a harsh and destructive response from the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its allied forces and allies in various countries. "
