Amit Segel reported today on his Telegram account that 63 members of the Knesset have signed an appeal by the Land of Israel lobby to the Speaker of the Knesset, MK Amir Ohana, for an urgent discussion on the issue of opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
63 members of Knesset, from 8 different factions, both coalition and opposition, joined the appeal of the Land of Israel lobby to Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana seeking to schedule an urgent discussion on the proposal to settle the issue of opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The chairmen of the lobby: MK Yuli Edelstein, MK Limor Son Har Melech and MK Simcha Rothman said that this letter reflects the resounding consensus among the Zionist parties in the Knesset.
Just before the trip of the Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to Congress - the members of the caucus ask to stand by him together, as an all-Israeli wall in the face of the dangerous attempts of those countries that seek to give support to terrorism in the form of a Palestinian terrorist state in the heart of the Land of Israel.
In the letter, signed by Knesset members from Likud, Shas, Religious Zionism, Otzma Yehudit, Yisrael Beitenu, the State Right, Torah Judaism, and the State Camp, the Knesset members request that the Knesset plenum debate and vote on a proposal along the following lines: "The Israeli Knesset is adamantly opposed to the establishment of a state Palestinian from the west of Jordan. The establishment of a Palestinian state in the heart of the Land of Israel will pose an existential danger to the State of Israel and its citizens, perpetuate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and destabilize the region."
The members of the lobby warn that "it will only be a matter of a short time until Hamas takes control of the Palestinian state and turns it into a base of radical Islamic terrorism, working in coordination with the axis led by Iran, to eliminate the State of Israel."
The letter also stated that "promoting the idea of a Palestinian state at this time will be a reward for terrorism and will only encourage Hamas and its supporters to see this as a victory thanks to the massacre of 10/7/23 and a prelude to the takeover of jihadist Islam in the Middle East."
