Beirut-Based Former Canadian Government Anti-Racism Consultant Urges Manhattan Audience to Launch “Direct Action” for Palestine: It Would Be “Ideal” if Americans Forced the U.S. to Start Killing Its Own Citizens; Anti-Zionist Jews Have the Highest Responsibility to Sacrifice Their Lives

Beirut-based former Canadian government anti-racism consultant and media producer Laith Marouf called on Americans to sacrifice their lives in “direct action” for the sake of Palestine.

He then emphasized that they should force the U.S. government to “start killing its own citizens” in defense of Israel, saying this would be “ideal.” 

In a video call during an April 27, 2025 panel on “Palestine and the Role of the Resistance Axis,” held in Manhattan, Marouf called on Americans to follow the example of the U.K. based Palestine Action, and occupy and destroy weapons factories in America. 

He said that anti-Zionist Jews “have the highest responsibility” to take action and risk their lives to “liberate Judaism from Zionism,” and “if they don’t care to die for the liberation of Palestine […] for all intents and purposes – Judaism is Zionism.”

The panel was co-hosted by Bronx Anti-War Coalition, Workers World Party, The New School Alumni for Palestine, United National Anti-War Coalition, and Black Intifada. Images of various U.S. designated terrorist organizations, such as Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthi Ansar Allah in Yemen, and the IRGC were shared throughout the panel.
