A new strategic study is calling for a dramatic shift in how Washington and Jerusalem define their alliance: from an aid-based relationship to a joint technological powerhouse that anchors Western security.
The 51-page report, “Israel 2048: A Blueprint for a Rising Asymmetric Geopolitical Power,” published by the Henry Jackson Society, argues that Israel must become indispensable to US and Western security through defense technology, artificial intelligence, quantum computing and next-generation warfare systems.
According to co-author Barak M. Seener, the strategic reality after October 7 demands a new model. Rather than remaining primarily a recipient of US military aid, Israel should pivot toward deep joint R&D, shared production platforms and integrated supply chains in critical technologies.
The study contends that America’s traditional allies in Europe and parts of the Middle East have shown inconsistency under pressure.
