Around 300 people were evacuated after a suspicious vehicle reportedly containing heavy weapons was discovered near a synagogue and other public venues.

French police launched a major security operation in Sarcelles, a northern suburb of Paris, after locating the vehicle near a busy commercial center.

The vehicle was parked close to a synagogue, several restaurants and a movie theater, prompting authorities to immediately clear the area and establish a wide security perimeter.
