As part of the G20 gathering, a joint announcement was issued to the USA, India, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the European Union, in which there was talk of a project to connect India by maritime trade routes to the Gulf ports, and from there the establishment of land transportation systems to connect a railway (besides, as they are also talking about an infrastructure strip , such as fiber optic cables, and pipelines (such as hydrogen, natural gas, and oil pipelines)) from the Emirates, through Saudi Arabia, to Jordan and from there to Israel, and from our seaports to Europe.

PM Netanyahu made a solemn statement, and the whole world is now talking about a railroad and trade route corridor project that will connect India with the Middle East and Europe, and everyone is telling us about these and other details about the expected project, and adding learned interpretations.

It must be pointed out that this is not a project that was just now decided on. Talks have been going on between the parties involved for a long time, within the framework of the joint talks between Israel, India and the United Arab Emirates, and about a year and a half ago a special forum was established that discusses strategic infrastructure projects in the Middle East, and discussions on the subject have been going on for about a year and included the Saudis.

If everything goes well, a memorandum of understanding should be signed between the countries involved, as well as the US and the European Union, which will lay the foundation for the start of the project.

It can be assumed that the channel's readers were not surprised by the very idea of connecting transportation systems between the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Israel, because we have already talked about plans of this type many times, and I will mention that since 2017 they started talking about a rail connection plan between Israel and the Gulf countries (the plan of the former Minister of Transportation, Israel Katz).

Let's hope that the project in question will take off, and will pass from the stage of declarations and understandings, to the stages of planning and execution, because all the countries of the region, including Israel, have only something to gain from such a project.
