Discussions are underway within the US government regarding the sale of several dozen F-15IA fighter jets to Israel, a deal valued at $18 billion, as reported by War Zone, which cited five different sources. The F-15IA is Israel's variant of the F-15EX model, and according to CNN, the government is close to approving the sale.
Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Michael McCaul, approved the deal in January, which was endorsed by Republican committee member James Risch.

The Israeli government submitted an official Letter of Request (LOR) document regarding this matter in January 2023. The deal is likely to include the supply of medium-range air-to-air AIM-120 missiles and JDAM bombs, according to a Politico report.
The Israeli Air Force continues to utilize the older F-15 “Falcon” models, including versions A through D, which were first introduced over 45 years ago. There are also ongoing projects for upgrading these older aircraft.
