Jerusalem, 4 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Rafael Advanced Defense Systems of Israel and South Korea’s Hyundai Rotem signed a strategic agreement at the MSPO 2025 exhibition in Kielce, Poland.
The agreement will integrate Rafael’s TROPHY active protection system — also known “Windbreaker” — onto the Korean K2 main battle tank. This marks the first time the system will be mounted on a Korean platform.
The deal includes production, marketing, adaptation, and full life-cycle support, both for the Korean military and global customers. Industry sources say the partnership could strengthen the K2’s position in international tenders, particularly in Europe, as demand for advanced tanks grows.
IDF says that the Trophy system had saved countless lives during the last two years of war.
