Pentagon orders second U.S. aircraft carrier to ready for Middle East deployment amid Iran tensions
The Pentagon has instructed a second aircraft carrier strike group to prepare for deployment to the Middle East as the U.S. military braces for the possibility of a confrontation with Iran, according to three U.S. officials cited by the Wall Street Journal.
Officials say the Pentagon is preparing to deploy an additional carrier within two weeks, likely from the U.S. East Coast. The USS George H.W. Bush is currently completing training exercises off the coast of Virginia and could accelerate those drills to allow for a faster departure, the report adds.

Big win for Israel’s economy
American cyber giant Palo Alto Networks is officially entering the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange through a dual listing — instantly becoming the largest company traded in Tel Aviv. With a market cap of about $115 billion, it will be worth nearly double Teva, which currently holds the top spot. The company was founded by Israeli entrepreneur Nir Zuk, and today is considered the largest cybersecurity company in the world.
The announcement came alongside the completion of its $21 billion acquisition of Israeli cybersecurity company CyberArk. Palo Alto explicitly stated that the Tel Aviv listing is a “tribute to CyberArk’s legacy and to strengthening its presence in Israel.”
