Making history: the first woman to be a Deputy Commissioner in the police force

Meet Sigalit Bar Zvi. Today she was appointed today to be the first woman in the history of the Israeli police force to receive the title Deputy Commissioner in an operational position. An unprecedented step, Sigalit made history today!

The decision was made by the minister of homeland security, Omer Bar-Lev. While there are and there were women in high status within the police departments, none of them ever received the opportunity to command an operational department.

Wow Newsrael NOTHING to brag about! It's the 21 Century! Less than 10% women serve in Cabinet! Another 100 years, Israel will have a female Commissioner. ANOTHER 100 years, you will have a Minister!
