The IDF targeted a Hamas terror headquarters in the Ein el-Hilweh area of southern Lebanon.
The IDF announced that a short time ago it carried out an airstrike against a command center used by Hamas terrorists in the Ein el-Hilweh area in southern Lebanon. According to the military, the site served as an operational hub from which attacks and terror activities were directed.
The strike comes amid heightened tensions along Israel’s northern border and ongoing efforts to prevent Hamas from expanding its operational infrastructure beyond Gaza. The IDF has repeatedly warned that it will act against any terror activity threatening Israeli civilians, regardless of location.
NEWSRAEL: WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT
Hamas’ presence in Lebanon, particularly in areas like Ein el-Hilweh, represents an expanding front against Israel. By targeting command centers outside Gaza, Israel signals that it will not allow terror groups to build cross-border operational bases that could open additional battlefronts. This strike reinforces Israel’s policy of proactive defense and deterrence against regional terror networks.
