Lebanese channels reported an unusually intensive strike in the village of Ansariyeh, located in southern Lebanon between Tyre and Sidon.
According to the reports, eight drone strikes were carried out in the area within a short period. Some local accounts claimed that the drones continued firing at movement near the target zone and prevented rescue teams from approaching immediately after the attack.
Shortly afterward, Lebanese channels affiliated with the Iranian-led Shiite axis reported that Wissam Abu Raya had been eliminated in the strikes. The channels described him as a “great jihad commander,” a title reportedly reserved for only a small number of senior Hezbollah figures.
The identity of the target and the extraordinary number of strikes suggest that the operation may have been aimed at a particularly high-value Hezbollah commander. The reported pattern appears intended not merely to hit the target, but to ensure that he could not escape or be evacuated from the scene.
