Since I was a mere 5 years old, I had dreams of coming to Israel. I knew that there was only one place for the continuation of the Jewish people and that it was where the heart of the Jewish people lie, in Eretz Yisrael.

More than that, I've never had an easy life but rather a life filled with growth opportunities. A life of ups and downs, twists and turns, and always looking to do better than I did the day before.

 

Which is what I believe Israel is all about. Israel, and the Jewish people, have never had it easy. We've gone through so many exiles, persecution, resentment, anti-semitism, internal fighting, and more.

 

Yet, we're here to tell the tale. We've returned to our homeland. We fought for our homeland. And today, we are flourishing in our homeland.

Israel, to me, isn't just the land of our forefathers, a beautiful country, a return home, but it's the reminder to never ever give up. To always keep moving forward, knowing that one day, life will be better. That one day, our dreams will be made true. That one day, we will make our dreams a reality.

Throwing it back for our 6 year Aliyahversary!!!!

 

Can't believe it's been 6 years since we each, separately, decided to make Aliyah on our own.

 

Giddy arriving August 17th and me on September 2nd.

Aliyah was never something that either of us questioned but meeting 2 months after, on October 30th, the week of Parshat Lech Lecha, was quite the miracle.

 

Can't believe it's been six years! Here's to many more years of sharing in this journey, exploring the land of Israel, trips to the Kotel, eating out, health, happiness, children, success and so much more!"
