This assassination was a long time coming. It shows that these leaders of Hamas after 10/7 have truly become "dead men walking"
The 10 things we already know from this attack:
1) The neighborhood the assassination took place, D'hayia, is THE stronghold of Hezbollah.
2) Israel promised (publicly) he would be killed - and fulfilled that promise.
3) Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah promised (publicly) that they would guard him and no one would dare to tough him - and didn't fulfill their promise
4) In the Arab culture, Saleh Al-Arouri was a "guest" of Hezbollah and his death is a huge public humiliation for Nasrallah personally.
5) The operation itself was done perfectly with the best Intel possible.
6) Was the Mossad involved? Most certainly. Israel would not have given this job to local, no matter how much they were trusted. If any mistake in identification was made, it would put Israel in a bad situation.
7) There was no "collateral damage"
8) The level of Israeli Intel infiltration in Lebanon and Hezbollah is deep. Inside Hezbollah the officials are going to start looking over their shoulders and at one another. The less people around you that you can trust will make things very difficult.
9) This goes, of course, not just for Hezbollah, but Hamas, the PIJ and Iran itself.
10) There were many in Israel who said that Netanyahu was afraid to assassinate top Hamas leaders. They can all shut up now.
How will Hezbollah and the Palestinian terror organization respond? Big question. They will respond, even knowing that Israel will respond 10 times harder.
