The NSC has raised the travel advisory for Canada from Level 1 (no warning) to Level 2 – “potential threat,” due to a growing threat from terrorist elements targeting Israelis and Jews in Canada.

In the past 18 months, there have been several attacks on Jewish sites and institutions, including shootings, Molotov cocktail incidents, and threats against Israelis/Jews in the country. 

The NSC advises all Israelis living in or visiting Canada to take extra precautions, avoid displaying Israeli or Jewish symbols publicly, and remain highly alert in public spaces.
