EDITORIAL: The Democrat Party is facing its last days
In the 1990s, Israel’s Labour Party — the movement that had effectively ruled Israel since the country’s founding — tied its entire identity to one dramatic political gamble: the Oslo Accords.
The party believed Oslo would reshape the Middle East and secure peace with the Palestinians. Instead, after the agreements collapsed, Israel entered one of the bloodiest periods in its modern history, marked by waves of suicide bombings, terror attacks, and fear in the streets.
Labour never truly recovered.
But what destroyed the party was not only the failure itself. It was the refusal to admit mistakes afterward.
