The graduation ceremony of the 149th batch of sailors course took place this evening (Wednesday), at the Sea Arm base in Haifa.
The ceremony was held under the leadership of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Amir Baram, Commander of the Naval Arm, Major General David Sa'ar Selma, Commander of the Naval Arm, Col. Tamir Shemesh, commanders, soldiers, families and other invitees.
The course was completed by 34 sailors and three sailors, during the ceremony the naval officer pins were unveiled and they were awarded lieutenant ranks. The ceremony takes place in the shadow of the IDF's fighting in several arenas, in which the naval forces take a significant part.
During the last months of the course, the cadets of class 149 joined the various vessels on which they will serve and took part in various operational activities, covert and overt, and even performed the largest number of operational sea hours of the graduates of the seafaring course. Graduates of the course received an academic degree in political science from the University of Haifa and a skipper's license (ship 30).
