Report: The IRGC officer who was assassinated in Tehran returned from long service in Syria and served as one of the aides to Qassem Suleimani, the former commander of the Iranian Quds Force in the Revolutionary Guards until his assassination by the United States, and a "prominent" commander alongside Assad's army in Syria.
