Those geniuses who say Hamas is an ideology and cannot be defeated should recall that Nazism also was an ideology and was defeated by the resolve of America and its Allies in WWII. 

The ideology is defeated when it loses its foundation and its roots, just as a virus is eradicated when it loses its host. 

Absent such resolve, Hamas will see a path to victory and will keep raising the price for a release of the hostages. I

Israel must be able to present Hamas with a binary option: surrender and free the hostages, or enter the gates of hell. 

Veering from that path only prolongs the misery of those suffering and Biden’s equivocation is doing exactly that.
