Italian PM Girogia Meloni 'calls everyone to responsibility' on Flotilla, no need to risk safety to take aid where govt cd easily take it
(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 24 - Premier Giorgia Meloni on Wednesday said she wanted to call everyone to responsibility after a drone attack on the Global Sumud Flotilla for Gaza saying there was no need to risk one's safety by entering a theatre of war to deliver aid the Italian government could easily and quickly deliver instead.
"All this is gratuitous, dangerous, irresponsible," she said on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
"There's no need to risk your safety by entering a war zone to deliver aid to Gaza that the Italian government could have delivered in a matter of hours.
