In its quest to control every possible narrative, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) posts its propaganda on countless websites and platforms from which AI-based chatbots draw a significant amount of their information.
In a recent study conducted in the US, researchers examined evidence of Chinese regime propaganda in American chatbots and examined which ones tended to reflect the worldview of the regime in Beijing.
The bots studied were ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, DeepSeek and Grok.
Topics examined included the origin of the coronavirus outbreak, China’s disputed territorial claims, Hong Kong’s independence, the brutal Tiananmen Square student massacre, Sino-Russian relations and the oppression of Uyghur Muslims in the Xinjiang region.
