Chinese President Xi is expected to arrive in Saudi Arabia tomorrow for a three-day visit that Riyadh attaches great importance to. During the visit, three summits will be held: Saudi-Chinese, Chinese-Gulf and Arab-Chinese.
Xi's visit is taking place against the backdrop of tensions in relations between Saudi Arabia and the US. There is no doubt that Washington does not like meetings in Saudi Arabia.
In July, when Biden visited Jeddah, he announced that he would not abandon the Middle East and would not leave a vacuum into which China would enter, but it seems that Saudi Arabia was not impressed by this promise.
Saudi Arabia and China are expected to sign a series of agreements in the field of trade, energy with a total value of about 30 billion dollars.
