Israeli commuter who averted bus bombing: ‘I was a messenger of God’

“When I saw the pictures of my destroyed bus, I realized the extent of the disaster that was averted,” Adi Jegna told JNS.

When 26-year-old Adi Jegna first noticed the white bag on one of the seats at the back of her city bus in the Tel Aviv suburb of Bat Yam on the way home from work Thursday evening, something didn’t feel right. So she got up and took a closer look.

Inside the bag, she saw rolls of toilet paper, and a container with some yellowish liquid.

“Frankly speaking I debated whether I should say anything,” she recounted to JNS on Sunday.

We all must say something. We all must speak up. Trust your instincts. Would you rather be wrong or live the rest of your life knowing people died because you didn’t speak up?

Another story about this included the part about the driver evacuating the other passengers before bravely driving to the depot. This was a major miracle.

Thank God that she was courageous enough to say something. I agree with the previous post that it was stupid to instruct the driver to go somewhere else. The bus should have been stopped on the spot!
