While resources were scarce in the years following World War II and Israel’s War of Independence, the holiday of Passover was a joyful time in the burgeoning Jewish state.
The seeds were germinating for what would decades later become “startup nation,” with Israelis setting their minds to meet all of society’s needs.
For a Jewish country, that meant making sure there was plenty of matzah for the Passover holiday, some of which was made in factories like the one in this clip from 1951.
