AP news agency said that Turkish President Erdogan sent a request through Iran to the head of the Syrian regime, Bashar al-Assad, to send a delegation to Damascus.
The agency, citing a Lebanese official who declined to identify himself, added that Assad rejected the Turkish request, but expressed his willingness to hold talks in a third country.
According to the source, the Turkish president called in the letter to return the regime's forces to the areas under the control of the "People's Defense Units" now, and to act to prevent them from using Syrian gas and oil and to return the Syrian refugees in Turkey to Syria.
NEWSRAEL: Each of these points will be a miricle if they find a solution good for both sides.
