Israeli Bedouin gets prison for lynching Jew

Nine years in prison for a young Bedouin who participated in a lynching during Operation Guardian of the Wall.

Abdel Aziz Amrani took part in riots last year near the Bedouin settlement of Segev Shalom.

The District Court in the Supreme Court accepted the prosecution's position and sentenced Abdel Aziz Amrani, who was accused of participating in a lynching of an Israeli citizen on racial grounds and out of a nationalist-ideological motive, during Operation Guardian of the Walls.

According to the verdict, the defendant violated the conditions of full house arrest, equipped himself with a cloth machine gun (David slingshot) and gloves, and while masked took part along with others in riots, which included throwing stones at Jewish vehicles, police vehicles, blocking roads with burning tires and more.
