Documents reportedly show Israeli companies played a role in advanced F-15 systems supplied to Qatar and Saudi Arabia through Boeing.
Israeli defense systems were reportedly sold to Qatar and Saudi Arabia, including missile-defense systems and advanced combat helmets for their F-15 fighter jets.
According to the report, Elbit’s C-MUSIC missile-defense system was installed on aircraft used by Qatar’s royal fleet, including planes used by the emir and the prime minister. The system is designed to detect heat-seeking surface-to-air missiles and disrupt their lock with an infrared beam, making it especially effective against shoulder-fired missiles.
The report also says Elbit and other Israeli companies were involved in the advanced F-15QA project for Qatar, based on a US Defense Department contract with Boeing. Qatar received 36 F-15QA “Ababil” fighter jets by 2023.
