US House Speaker and Knesset Speaker team up to lobby for President Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize nomination.
The Speaker of the Knesset and Speaker of the US House of Representatives signed a joint letter on Tuesday recommending that President Donald Trump be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his role in brokering the October Gaza ceasefire, the Abraham Accords, and other international peace deals.
On Tuesday, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana (Likud) met with House Speaker Mike Johnson on Capitol Hill, during which the two signed a letter endorsing President Trump’s nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.
“Today, I had the honor of jointly signing, together with my friend Speaker Johnson, a letter recommending to nominate President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, as part of a global parliamentary initiative,” Ohana wrote on his X account Tuesday.
