The Saudi Foreign Minister noted that no military or technical cooperation with Israel had been proposed or discussed. "We know what we want and we know how to achieve it", he said.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan confirmed on Saturday that the Jeddah summit had focused on partnership with the United States, noting that the summit's final statement would be published later.
Bin Farhan said the kingdom's hand is outstretched to neighboring Iran to reach normal relations, and pointed out that the talks that took place with Iran were positive, but they did not reach results. He also noted that there were no announcements from Iran to the Jeddah summit. He noted that dialogue and diplomacy are the only solution to Iran's nuclear program.
In response to a journalist's question, the Saudi foreign minister noted that no military or technical cooperation with Israel had been raised or discussed, and that there was no such thing as an "Arab NATO."
He noted that the common Arab method of operation has reached the stage of "maturity", adding: "We know what we want and we know how to achieve it… We are not waiting for someone to fulfill our needs."
