Syria launches Hebrew-language news service amid backlash

NEWSRAEL: This positive act shows that Syria is seeing Israel in a much closer way, as long as it is not used fro propaganda. We will monitor this site and report if so!

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) has launched a Hebrew-language edition, sparking widespread criticism online.

Many Syrians questioned the move, accusing it of signaling normalization with Israel.

One viral comment read: “All the separatists in Syria are supported by Israel, so why is al-Julani getting closer to it?”
