Tamir Nabuani was the first member of Israel's Druze community to serve in Sayeret Matkal, Israel's most elite commando unit.

Fourteen years ago, on January 1st 2008, Tamir set off on a complex and difficult solo navigation exercise in the South and died after falling off a cliff.

Tamir is remembered as being exceedingly humble, brave and passionate about serving and protecting Israel.
