"I can only imagine what my Grandfather would say if he could see me now!"
Nefesh B’ Nefesh 08.07.2021
Malka, an American-Jewish girl who made Aliyah and moved to Israel, tells her story:
"My grandfather was born in Berlin, Germany in the early 1930’s. At a young age, his citizenship was stripped due to his religious beliefs. The night before kristallnacht, he managed to escape, and founded a better life in America. Many Jews were not so fortunate.
It means so much to me that, less than 100 years later, the granddaughter of a Holocaust Survivor has the freedom to not only practice her religion, but move to her ancestral homeland.
Last week I made Aliyah on the anniversary of his first yarzheit. I can only imagine what he would say if he could see me now!"
