In this Hiwar TV discussion, several Palestinian academics and activists openly argued that their real objective is dismantling Zionism entirely, not achieving Palestinian statehood.
Hassan Khreisheh claimed all of Israel “from the River to the Sea” belongs to the Palestinians. Azzam Al-Tamimi said Palestinians are united in eliminating the Zionist enterprise, calling it an “anti-human” project.
Nashat Aqtash promoted conspiracy theories about Zionism being built on fabricated “victimhood,” even citing an impossible meeting between Herzl and Eichmann, which he later shifted to Chaim Weizmann when corrected. Aqtash also insisted the World Bank, IMF, and global political leadership are part of a broader “Zionist enterprise.”
Former Al-Jazeera director-general Wadah Khanfar argued that Benjamin Netanyahu is “attacking” global institutions like the World Bank, IMF, and ICJ because they were originally created to “serve Zionism,” but now criticize Israel. He said the collapse of the post-WWII order would benefit the Palestinians, as new world systems would emerge.
