IDF and Shin Bet eliminated the commander of the Shejaya sector in the Islamic Jihad terror organization and an additional terrorist.
In a joint operation with the Shin Bet, the IDF struck and eliminated the terrorist Fadel Abu al-Ata on June 7, 2025. The terrorist previously served as the deputy commander of the Shejaya sector and was appointed commander of the Shejaya sector in the Islamic Jihad terror organization during the war.
Abu al-Ata was a key figure in coordinating between terror organizations in the Shuja'iyya sector and directed numerous terror operations against IDF forces. Additionally, he infiltrated Israeli territory during the murderous massacre on October 7.
Furthermore, the IDF eliminated the terrorist Hamed Kamal Abd al-Aziz Aiyad, who was responsible for engineering and sabotage in the Turkman Brigade of the Islamic Jihad terror organization. The terrorist was responsible for planning and executing terror and sabotage operations against IDF forces.
The IDF and Shin Bet will continue to operate with strength and determination against terror organizations in the Gaza Strip and to remove any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel.
