At another meeting of the judges from the team of Case 1000, they proposed to strive for criminal mediation - and reach a compromise between the parties. This, even before Arnon Milchan's testimony which will begin this Sunday.
New details about the Netanyahu trial: In a meeting with the team of Case 1000, attorneys Amit Hadad and Alon Gildin, the judges tried to pressure the parties to proceed to a criminal mediation process - this is what we published for the first time last night (Friday) in "Ulfan Shishi". This, after last month the prosecutor "Sheit refused a similar mediation process in the Prime Minister's other cases.
Two months ago we published for the first time in "News 12" that the parties were considering going to criminal mediation. Prosecutor Gali Beharev-Miara should formulate the state's position and answer to the Jerusalem District Court in the coming days. Netanyahu's lawyers did not rule out the idea and announced that they would submit their answer at the same time as the lawsuit.
Amit Segel, the political analyst spoke on TV:
"Just think - in the Bennett-Lapid Leftist government there was a proposal that a politician who was suspected of bribery would not be able to be prime minister (a law that would be personally against Netanyahu, of course) - how would Israel look now if he was unable to be prime minister becuase of that law - and now the judges say that the "bribery" cases are no longer practicle?"
