VIDEO: Life in the Gaza Strip has become hell on earth

Several young people from the Gaza Strip were found dead when they tried to enter Greece illegally by sea using a fishing boat that sank in the middle of the sea.

The phenomenon of young people fleeing the Gaza Strip abroad is expanding due to the difficult economic situation, unemployment and the repressive rule of Hamas.

There is heavy mourning in the Gaza Strip after the deaths of several young residents of the Strip who drowned at sea off the coast of Greece were reported earlier this week.

So far, two bodies have been recovered from the sea, one by Anas Abu Rajaliya from Khan Yunis and the other by Nasrallah Al-Fara, also a resident of Khan Yunis.
This tragic event is hardly covered by the Israeli media and the international media.

Survivors of the boat that sank, with young people from the Gaza Strip on board, told their relatives in the Gaza Strip in telephone calls that there were other missing persons.

A recording of a conversation of one of the survivors, a resident of the Gaza Strip, was circulated on social media, telling his mother about the terrible tragic disaster, "The fish ate us, we were in the water for two hours until we were rescued," he said.

It is a fishing boat that tried to smuggle young Gazans by sea from Turkey to Greece, there are hundreds of unemployed young people looking for work who are trying to enter Greece illegally and from there reach one of the European countries, find work there and then bring their families from the Gaza Strip.

This phenomenon has been expanding recently in the Gaza Strip due to the difficult economic situation, Gazan youths are saving money and going through the Rafah crossing to Egypt and from there to Turkey.

In Turkey there is a smuggling net, which for a sum of $ 3000 per person, it smuggles the young Gazans in fishing boats to the territorial waters of Greece and from there they come swimming to the shores of Greece.

In recent years there have been several accidents in which dozens of Gaza residents perished, the small fishing boats that smuggled them into a storm in the middle of the sea and drowned.

But the difficult economic situation and suffering in the Gaza Strip are unbearable and many young people are willing to gamble their lives to try and escape the Gaza hell.

According to UN data, the unemployment rate in the Gaza Strip reaches 52 percent, more than 70 percent of families in the Strip live below the poverty line.

Most young people in the Gaza Strip have no future, they cannot get a university education and then find employment, get married and start a family.

Israel's economic siege on the Gaza Strip is heavy, even after four rounds of fighting, since the Israeli siege began in 2007, there has been no improvement in the difficult economic situation, to which must be added the rule of Hamas' dictatorship and oppression.

During the "return marches" on the Gaza border about two years ago, many unemployed young people went out to demonstrate on the border fence with Israel for small sums of money, many of whom were wounded by IDF soldiers.

According to sources in the Gaza Strip, there are currently about 5,000 disabled young people in the Gaza Strip who were injured in the legs by gunfire during the "return marches", which was one of the reasons why the Hamas leadership decided to stop the mass demonstrations on the Gaza Strip border.

The phenomenon of young Gazans fleeing the Gaza Strip is not expected to stop soon, despite the many risks involved, there is no spark of hope on the near horizon. Or were injured in the war, may remain in temporary residences, rehabilitation operations began only about a month ago and are expected to last several months.

The lull talks led by Egyptian intelligence mediating between Hamas and Israel will not solve the problem of unemployment and the difficult economic situation, they will improve, at best, the supply of electricity, the import of goods and food and the employment of several thousand workers in Israel.
About 100,000 families in the Gaza Strip continue to receive financial aid from Qatar, amounting to $ 100 a month per family.

The security situation is tense, the silence is imaginary, Hamas is preparing for another round of fighting against Israel and the next explosion is only a matter of time.
