Maher al-Assad, the brother of the Syrian president, declares that they will not allow Aleppo to fall. The fourth division of which he is the commander was attacked this evening by ISIS on its way to Aleppo.

The same is true for nearly all Arab and/or Muslim countries. It's very deceptive to use the language of Democracy while actually being a Tyranny.

Syria is absolutely not a democracy. Syria uses language like president, elections, parliament, and constitution, but their system in no way reflects true Western democracy.
