The same is true for nearly all Arab and/or Muslim countries. It's very deceptive to use the language of Democracy while actually being a Tyranny.

Syria is absolutely not a democracy. Syria uses language like president, elections, parliament, and constitution, but their system in no way reflects true Western democracy.
