Question of the Day: Trump deal: Will it work?

Trump and Netanyahu have put forward a bold plan they believe could reshape the Middle East, but the question remains if it can succeed.

YES: The deal has the backing of strong leaders like President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu, and it puts Hamas under pressure to disarm and release hostages—something long overdue.

NO: Hamas has a long history of breaking promises, and expecting them to honor any deal is unrealistic, which could make the plan collapse before real change happens.

It will work one way or another, no matter what. If all 48 hostages can be released and the PA can completely reform so that they are no longer barbarians., That would be wonderful.

Hamas now have no decisive leader to prefer them to continue fighting or to surrender. They are in a state of chaos. They might try to flee or simply to kill all of the hostages.

The deal is still shrouded in mystery. The conditions of the deal appear to be ones the PA will be unwilling to meet. This is more of a setting the table for a meal that Bibi knows will never be.
