An Iranian command center responsible for directing rocket and drone attacks against Western targets in Baghdad has reportedly been destroyed, with several key operatives eliminated in a targeted airstrike.
The strike hit a house in the upscale Jadriya district, where Iranian advisers—linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps—had been operating under diplomatic cover.
According to Iraqi security sources, the site functioned as a coordination hub for attacks on US interests, including the US Embassy and Victoria Base near Baghdad International Airport. Among those killed was a senior figure known as “Ansari,” described as an expert tied to Iran’s Quds Force. Several additional Iranian operatives were also reportedly killed.
The property had allegedly been rented months earlier through the Iranian embassy under the guise of housing advisers. However, intelligence sources indicate these individuals were actively managing missile and drone operations carried out by Iran-backed militias, including Hezbollah-affiliated groups in Iraq.
