Iran places radar on the border with Azerbaijan [MAP]

In a major development: Iran has placed an OTH (Over-the-horizon) radar on the westernmost heights of the Gilan Province.

The "Nazir" radar with 800 km range will be monitoring the skies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and eastern Turkey.

The Israeli Air Force was said to have launched missiles that got through the multi-layered Iranian air defence during its attack on Iran, from the Republic of Azerbaijan airspace.

The installation signals a major shift in the Iranian position toward the Aliyev (Azerbaijan) regime.
