A Jerusalem District Spokesman, Ma'arouf Al-Rifai, notes that a school that adopts a national path presents the Israeli curriculum to Israelis while teaching the Palestinian curriculum.
PA Jerusalem District Spokesman Ma'arouf Al-Rifai: “Any school where they teach the Palestinian [PA] curricula, [Israel] closes it and files a lawsuit against it or imposes financial fines on it. Therefore, a school that takes on a national path presents the Israeli curriculum to the Israelis, while it teaches the Palestinian curriculum, and perhaps even tells the students: Leave the Palestinian curriculum [schoolbooks] at home, we will teach it here, but do not bring them to school.”
