On Saturday night, investigators from the drug unit and customs inspectors at Ben Gurion Airport caught a passenger returning from Cambodia with approximately 30,000 Viagra and Viagra substitute pills in his suitcase, worth an estimated 450,000 Shekels ($120,000).
Authorities said the pills were intended for distribution to the general public, and the passenger attempted to bring them into the country while evading payment of large amounts of taxes and risking public health, since the pills were without approval from the Ministry of Health.
The suspect, Moshe Levy, returned from Cambodia after a 5-day stay with a suitcase in his possession and entered the green lane, through which passage constitutes a declaration that the passenger passing through does not have in his possession goods that are subject to declaration.
During the passage, he was referred for a physical examination by customs inspectors in the passenger hall.
