A senior figure in Turkey’s opposition has made an explosive allegation linking EU aid money to direct financial support for jihadist terrorists.
Opposition lawmaker Turhan Çömez revealed that the Turkish Red Crescent is allegedly providing regular monthly stipends to fighters from ISIS and al-Qaeda, as well as to their families.
According to Çömez, when questioned about the source of the funds, the Turkish Red Crescent reportedly responded that the money does not come from Turkey, but from EU aid funds transferred to Ankara.
The claim directly implicates European leadership, alleging that aid overseen by Ursula von der Leyen and António Costa is funneled to Turkey, where President Erdogan allegedly redirects it through the Turkish Red Crescent to terrorists and their families.
