Berlin forbids 'Nakba Day' rallies

During the weekend, five demonstrations were to take place in the capital to mark Nakba Day - all of which were canceled. The reason: these demonstrations were in the past a fertile ground for spreading anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel.

The mayor of Berlin Franziska Giffey: “We will not allow Antisemitic and anti Israel statements in demonstrations.”
