An Arab suspect from the Christian village of Taybeh in the Binyamin region was captured by IDF forces about a month ago after carrying out a shooting attack two months earlier targeting a patrol vehicle from a nearby farm.
During the operation, troops discovered a Kalashnikov rifle, a handgun, magazines, and additional ammunition in his home.
Despite Taybeh’s identity as a Christian village that has received support and advocacy in the US, including within the current administration, security sources note the presence of a Fatah-linked network in the area. The Palestinian Authority is reportedly leveraging activists from the village to increase diplomatic pressure against Israel.
