Palestinian analyst Munir Shafiq on Al-Jazeera TV: More people have been killed in Sudan than in Gaza in the past two years, but nobody cares about them; The blood of Palestinians is precious and there are demonstrations at universities everywhere.
Palestinian political analyst Munir Shafiq appeared on Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar) on April 16, 2025, saying that the Palestinian people are “coping” with their sacrifices.
When the interviewer questioned how he could say Palestinians are “coping” in the face of hunger and killing, Shafiq responded by asking how anyone could expect people suffering from genocide to surrender, stating: “We do not just want to end the genocide. We also want to win.”
He noted that while the situation in Palestine has caused global shock, the displacement and killing in Sudan have surpassed those in Palestine - yet no one cares.
In contrast, he said, Palestinians are supported by demonstrations at universities around the world. The fact that the genocide has not yet been stopped does not mean that these demonstrations are unimportant, he added, because they have “dragged the reputation of the Zionist entity through the mud.”
