The regime of Delcy Rodríguez in Venezuela has reportedly blocked access inside the country to Venezuela News, a pro-Chavista propaganda outlet linked to Alex Saab and to several well-known regime media activists.
The move is striking because Venezuela News was not an opposition platform. It was part of the Chavista media ecosystem and was used for years to promote regime narratives, attack opponents and amplify campaigns connected to Saab.
The outlet was associated with Chavista activists and media figures including Pedro Carvajalino, Roi López and Indira Urbaneja, who helped push the regime’s political messaging across social media and digital platforms.
The reported blocking suggests that the Venezuelan regime is not only censoring opposition voices, but may now be turning against parts of its own propaganda machine.
