Wife of Israeli Hostage Gives Birth Amid Desperate Wait for Husband’s Release from Hamas Captivity

Michal Lubnov, the wife of 32-year-old Alex Lubnov, who has been held hostage by Hamas terrorists in Gaza for 189 days (and counting) after being kidnapped from the Nova Festival on October 7th, gave birth to their second child on March 1.

Alex was taken from the party at Ra'i, where he served as a bar manager. He managed to contact his family until 9:00 in the morning, informing them he was fleeing. Testimonies revealed Alex had rescued individuals and fled with five others into the Bari forest. Despite their rescue, Alex vanished.

It wasn't until 18 days later, during which he was labeled missing, that his status changed to kidnapped. Notably, Alex was kidnapped while Michal was six months pregnant.

Alex never met his unborn son.
